Role of T.V Media Contents in Reshaping Perception of Educated Youth a Case Study of Gujarat Regarding T.V News and Current Affair

Today media is more corresponding, tricky and dependent on the dominant elites. This has become increasing concern considering the extreme media effects can have over the perceptions of its viewers. The electronic media (TV) of Pakistan and its one way information effects on educated youth of Gujarat. In current scenario TV media have been unsuccessful to provide the public interest. Therefore, survey sample size 100 took from Gujarat educated youth findings of paper represents that mostly educated youth rely on TV media information and discuses it with peer and family group. It also clearly the educated youth of Gujarat still has doubts over the sources and reliability of information being provided to them. However, electronic media outlets provide the information that set the agenda of educated youth.

Young Female Users of Social Media and Internet Addiction

We profile addictive female users of Social Media in terms that are applicable to improving advertising message effectiveness and content transference. We use List of Values scales to profile addictive female users of leading Social Media sites such as Facebook and Twitter. We find these addictive female users of Facebook value being well respected above all other measures of values. In contrast, we find that addictive female users of Twitter value Personal Excitement above all other measures of values. These constructs load on actual usage of their respective social media environment and alone yield significant correlation value when trying to assess Social Media usage. Practical implications are discussed.

This is comparative study of spiral of silence and spiral of violence, two theoretical concepts in mass communication genre, especially in minority community’s perception expression pattern. This study explores the rise of the spiral of violence trend in the underrepresented and historically silent community challenging the traditional public opinion theory of the spiral of silence. Through interpretative technique comparison has been structured with result: the rise of spiral of violence theory is the ultimate death of spiral of silence.

Motives of Arabic Speaking Viewers for Watching English or Dubbed TV Programs

This research studies the motives that lead Arabic-speaking university students to watch television programs in English or dubbed in Arabic, and diagnoses the possible effects of these programs on these young people. A field study was conducted on a sample of viewers of the MBC2 and MBC4 Channels in the UAE. A questionnaire was used as a tool to cover a sample of the community comprised of 200 young people who attend various public and private universities in the UAE, aged generally between 18 and 30. The applied study proves that there is no relationship between gender and audience preference, and that there is an independence of respondents’ academic specialization and choice of channel. The study’s results show that learning English is among the most important motives for the respondents to watch these programs and that 90% of respondents believe that watching foreign programs has negative effects on university youth

The Role of Corporate Communication in Handling Organizational Crisis with 2 Case Studies from the Petroleum and Natural Gas Industry

Technology has spread to all spheres of life and Public Sector Units (PSUs) are not lacking behind. The Corporate Communication team in any PSUs uses latest technologies like the new media along with newspapers, televisions, Press Releases etc. to reach out to the masses about the goals and achievements of the organization. This research paper focuses on the role played by the Corporate Communication department in handling organizational crisis that happened in 2005 and 2009 in a reputed Fortune 500 oil sector PSU based in India and abroad. This project revolves around two real life case studies. So this project is titled “The Role of Corporate Communication in Handling Organizational Crisis’ revolves around two real life case studies. It highlights the specific areas where the organization has put in its efforts in managing the two different disasters that happened in the recent past. The first case happened in 2005, when the biggest offshore platform belonging to the World’s Most Admired Company was hit by a vessel whereby a catastrophic fire engulfed the platform which was lost forever. In the second case in 2009, the organization faced a crisis when it was asked to set up itself as a subsidiary unit in Assam. Crisis communication, an extremely important role of Corporate Communication has been explained elaborately with the two cases studies in the report.
